Wanted to comment on the M.George boats.
I was a 17 year old and worked for Larry Hagen
painting both Elizabeth and Maria C.J. back in
1978-80ish. My family too were SanDiego native since late 1800s. Also tuna fisherman/longshoremen/etc. Best times working directly with Manuel on occasion, great man, and no b.s.
