The historic I think was OWN BY THE VIRISSIMO
FAMILY , MAYBE ROLAND OWNED IT , HIS BROTHER’S COOKIE AND OLLIE RAN THE BOAT FOR YEARS SHE WAS ABOUT 130-135 FOOT LONG AND HELD ABOUT 180 TONS IT WAS BUILT AT PETRIC SHIPYARD, THE MAIN ENGINE WAS A ENTERPRISE .THE GOOD OLD DAYS….
The Mary Lou , Julia B, West Coast, Notre Dame, Historic were similar design built in San Diego by Martinolich. They carried from 145 to 210 tons (Mary Lou)
The pic of the historic was taken by my dad Fred Mcdonell. The names you mentioned like Rowland I remember my dad talking about and knowing them.
Fred was a skipper for many years
I fished with Richard (Cookie) Virissimo for about 3 years as a speed boat driver. The boat belong to Roland’s wife Virginia’s family. Her brother ran it for awhile also. If I recalled correctly she held 220. Ran out of San Diego.
