If this is the same Gina Marie that was working in the early1980s, then I was aboard her for a 30 -day voyage in April of 1980 as a NMFS tuna-porpoise observer. As I clearly recall, the ship`s crew , including the captain, pretty much ignored me until I spotted flotsam that attracted bait balls that in turn attracted schooling tuna. About 600 tons, i`d say. After that, I was considered OK, I guess. At least the entire crew acknowledged my presence.
