Conversation time….

This newspaper article dates back to August 26th 1975. The fleet was tied up in a protest over regulations . It looks to be a very peaceful conversation going on , off the stern of the Gina Anne , with the seiners Bold Contender and Pacific Queen tied up in background. If you follow my site you would know what a fan of the Bold Contender I was so if anyone has photos of this seiner please share. sdtunaboats@cox.net

Frank LoCoco….

Frank LoCoco sends in this photo of his Nonnu Frank LoCoco who was the deck boss aboard the Gina Karen. Thank You as always Frank , anyone else who want’s to share a photo send it to sdtunaboats@cox.net

Tied up at Embarcadero…

Todays newspaper article looks good but on further review its not. Most if not all of these seiners in this photo,  The Caribe , Intrepido , Fenico , Kerri M and the Finisterre were sold and most to Venezuela . The once proud San Diego fleet is just about gone. sdtunaboats@cox.net
