San Diego Tuna Boats

Simply put, you cant talk about tuna boats in San Diego without putting the Connie Jean in the talk. I believe it was built in 1966.  [email protected]

Capt Joe Medina from the looks of the picture pulling into either Broadway Pier or B street. I think this Tuna Boat was later named the Gold Coast in the Western Pacific . [email protected]

Anne M , from the looks of things it looks like an area of school fish, another one of my dads photos taken in the late 1970’s while aboard the Proud heritage. I believe the Anne M eventually became the Sea hunter.. [email protected]

I believe this shot of the Queen Mary was taken in the Panama Canal not sure. There were a few of these style Tuna boats. Christina C , Kathleen , Willa G to name a few.. [email protected]

Mariner cruising the bay. Martinac built tuna seiner. i have to be honest i don’t know a whole lot about the Mariner i do believe it fished down below a bunch but i could be wrong ,anyone have info on the Mariner or more photos pass them along. [email protected]
