The railing made things interesting. That was the first tuna boat I flew off of and my first flight was heading out of Lapu Lapu in the Philippines.
Yes i would imagine it could be difficult to land there. I think Campbells only made two with that design, the American Queen and the Pan Pacific. I could be wrong .

I went aboard her in 1980. Flew out to where she was anchored in Balboa Harbor, Panama, from Pitilla Airport. That was after a couple of days putting back together a Hu-500C. It was my first boat & I was on my way to becoming a tuna boat helicopter mechanic.
Hello-mac, Panama was a fun town back in its day. How did you feel landing on the deck with the raised bridge? Only the Pan Pacific and you guys had that? Do you have any pictures? Were getting desperate ?
