  1. Back in the early 1970's my dad ran that boat. There is a newspaper account of a Costa Rican gunboat firing shots across the bow and forcing it into port. The U.S.Government reimbursed the boat for the catch which was seized.

  2. Hi Jimmy, I have a picture of those ex-US military gunboats moored up in Puntarenas, Costa Rica. I'll try to get a picture sent to to you to post. I know lots of people have heard about boats getting caught inside the 200 mile coastal limits, but have never seen the actual "gunboats" that were enforcing these rules. Maybe some others would like to see.
