Finisterre..

Great looking boat. That caught lots of fish. Captain Scafidi killed them. Thanks to Greg Scafidi for sending this one in. Wheres everybody’s photos i know you have them . Come on its OK send them in [email protected]

  1. Finisterre kept its name, and was “chartered” and reflagged as a NZ vessel in late 1977.
    It had taken one load to American Samoa and in Tauranga NewZealand I joined 10th Febuary 1978.
    Frankie Souza was the skipper.
    Unloaded 780 tonnes in American Samoa early April,, fished back to San Diego, but being NZ flag, had to go down to Ensenada to unloaded 822 tonnes
    I left 18th September 1978
    The new Captain was Larry Peira, previously having had a good year on the ” Michangelo”
