Unique with the "twin mast" arrangement & a hardly, if ever seen puriseiner. Has a long bow similar to the Gina Anne.

2nd mast added after market. was this boat a sister ship to the ATLANTIS?
Not sure about the Atlantis sister-ship thing, but the Voyager is a Martinac rig. You're right about the 2nd mast being added at a later date. Was this something that happened when Frank Gargas was running it ?
The Voyager was built at Tacoma Boatbuilding. Launched in 1972. 237 feet long and 1500 tons. Yes to the Atlantis comment, both were built at the same time. One of the first boats to fish out west when some of the fleet went pioneering for new territory due to the marine animal protection act that eventually pushed the US fleet out of this side of the line. Capt. Frank Gargas is great guy.
My father worked on this boat in the late 70's, he was the helicopter mechanic. I've been trying find the voyagers history.
