This one was built at National Marine Terminals in 1954 for Joe Soares. Later in the late 60's Mike Cuscito (Seafarer) bought her and changed the name to the Blue Dolphin.
I like the look of the vintage Mauricio & Son's skiffs. What a workhorse with the little Detroit or Cat diesel engines. I can remember when thier outfit was in the Shelter Island yacht basin. When Mauricio's closed, it later became the Neilson-Beaumont boat yard & the skiff work died off, as most of the Tuna boats had already left San Diego.
