Sea Chase unloading on a steamer in Samoa. Believe this was taken around 1980 or 81. We need your pictures if we are going to continue to keep our history alive of the San Diego Tuna Fleet.. [email protected]

Greg Chase & the rest of the "tan-colored rigs" were smart operators, as the trans-shipping contracts for these guys worked out very well.
Instead of being backed-up with other boats at the dock waiting to unload, which was sometimes five to six boats deep, these guys did a quick turnaround, which got them to the 5 and even 6 trips a year mark.
Cool photo Jimmy, Clyde
Thank you Clyde, Your the one responsible for the photo. Wish more people sent in pictures like you did..
Yep, Jeannine crows nest shot while tied up to the Van Camps dock.
You're very welcome Jimmy. Glad to help with the photos & I always have my 2-cents worth to add 🙂
Might be Chases' wingman, the Portobello-probably ? on the starboard side of the Steamer, you can kinda see the powerblock & the brine-trail being pumped out. Guys were tight, as well as thier code-group.
