  1. what the maritime museum needs is a seiner and bait boat at the embarcadero.
I will always remember back in the 90's i saw one of the old timer italian fisherman(frank piranio) near zolezzi's fuel dock looking out over the bay an wondering what he was thinking. not a tuna boat in site or anything remotely related to a great industry.

  2. Great pic! Reminds me of my childhood when you would see boats tied up working on the nets etc. I wish it would have remained the same but unfortunately everything changes and what was is sometimes never again. Sure it would be nice to see it come back but tourism is much more important to the port district then a bunch of smelly tuna boats. I'm just thankful I did get to witness some of this. Feel sorry for the younger generations that will never understand what it was like. Thanks Jimmy for keeping this alive in our memories with your great photo's. Tom

  3. those we great days back then, i often think about them and remember alot of good times and so many good people.
