1. In 1982 Uncle Louie (Castagnola) asked my dad (Joseph Scafidi) to run it for one trip. He did, and made a 28 day trip with 750 tons.

2. hey greg, the 1982 trip was 93 days. that was my last trip. your dad nailed that 28 day full load in the late 70's. Joe Scafidi was credited as the first captain to use speeds boats on porpoise.

4. My first trip on the AC 1984 we made a 40 day trip. Fishing Clipperton, Chubasco season. 20 days of drifting and running from bad weather, had 1 jag for 225 tons and riped the net on another big jag. Larry Zwanich ran the boat that trip!
